Well it is a professional grade drone which is packed in a small and portable package. So that it can be easily taken around whilst you are on the go. It is perfect for hobbyists and pilots alike that are interested in a drone camera that can take high quality photographs.
But don’t think because this drone is small that you will be getting less for your buck because that could not be further from the truth. This little bundle of perfection comes with 12mp still shots and 4K 3ofps video and this makes it run alongside some of the best photograph drones out there.

Questions and Answers
How many ways are there to fly the Mavic Air and how do I change the control methods?
There are three ways to fly the Mavic Air.
- You can use the dedicated remote controller
- You can use your smartphone
- You can use both the dedicated remote controller and your smartphone together
The Mavic air connects your smartphone via DJI GO 4.
How do I activate the Mavic Air?
You can activate it with your mobile device and follow the instructions in the DJI GO 4 to complete the activation.
Is the Mavic air waterproof?
NO.
Where can I find the Mavic Air’s Wi-Fi name and password?
For safety reasons, every Mavic Air has its own unique Wi-Fi name and password.
This can be found on the side of the aircraft body, in the battery compartment and on the carry case.
You can connect you smartphone to the aircraft’s Wi-Fi by scanning the QR code with DJI GO 4 app for first time use. Alternatively, you can manually type in the Wi-Fi name and password.
How can I change the Mavic Air’s Wi-Fi name and password?
- Connect your smartphone to the aircraft via Wi-Fi
- Enter the DJI GO 4 app
- Go to Wi-Fi settings to change name and password
- You can also change the Wi-Fi name and password with DJI Assistant 2 on your computer.
Can I connect the Mavic Air’s Wi-Fi by using a third party app to scan the QR code?
No. You can only scan the QR code to connect the aircraft’s Wi-Fi using DJI GO 4.
Can I connect my smartphone to the remote controller using an ordinary USB?
Yes you can use an ordinary USB cable to connect your smartphone to the remote controller via the USB port with can be found at the bottom of the controller. However it may affect the performance levels. Difference cables come with the aircraft anyway and these cables will meet your needs.
When I am transporting my Mavic Air, do I need to take the propellers off?
No it is not necessary to do so.
Why does the Mavic air use non-foldable propellers?
Because the non-foldable propellers are more streamlined, making the Mavic Air smaller and more portable when folded.
What is the maximum level of wind that the Mavic Air can resist?
The Mavic Air can withstand wind speeds up to 10m/s
What is the Mavic Air’s max service ceiling above sea level?
16,400 ft (5000 m).
Battery Information
Can the Mavic Air battery charger be used to charge the aircraft and the remote controller at the same time?
Yes
What is the battery to Power bank adaptor used for?
You can insert the adaptor into a battery and turn it into a mobile power bank.
How long does it take to charge a battery fully?
It takes 55 minutes to charge a battery fully when you use a standard USB charger or a charger hub.
How often should I charge the battery fully?
It is recommended to charge the battery fully every three months

Mavic air drone is so tiny! That’s amazing it can fly up to 5000 m. above sea level and withstand a bit of wind. The smart capture and quick shots functions are some strong selling points for it too.
This is a nature photographer’s dream camera. I will definitely keep this one in mind!

If you compare the price to say a smartphone you will find it is a really good price for what you get.
